Registration

  • Each family pays a single $45+HST annual non-refundable registration fee.
  • PSB & INTERPLAY Dance Academy’s school year has 36 weeks of class. Per-class rates are calculated by duration and are consistent for all days of training.
  • All registrations and payments are processed through a family’s online Jackrabbit account. They have the option of selecting either one (1) full-year or ten (10) monthly installments, as well as credit card (Visa or MasterCard; no AMEX) or automatic bank withdrawal, for their payments. Families may change their payment method online via their account.
  • Full-year payments are accepted this school year. They are non-refundable.
  • Monthly installments are calculated by dividing the full-year fee into 10 equal portions. When processing monthly installments, the first & last months’ non-refundable deposit is taken at time of registration (September & June) and we bill for 8 subsequent months from September 15th through April 15th for the October through May tuition payments.
  • The installments billed monthly are the same regardless of number of classes in a particular month and includes June even though classes run until the 6th of that month only (not counting make-up classes). The June payment subsidizes the other installments, making per-installment fees lower, increasing the payment period and enabling more families to participate in dance training.
  • Store purchases may be charged to the method of payment on account.

Early Registration Discount Week May 19th - May 26th, 2025

  • Discounts apply to current returning students who register and pay the deposit by May 26th, 2025.
  • A 10% discount is applied to those who choose to pay for the full-year’s tuition in one payment. The payment is non-refundable.
  • Those who select monthly installments will be discounted 5% of monthly lesson fees.
  • The annual registration fee of $45 per family is exempt from all discounts.
  • Competitive rehearsal fees are exempt from all discounts.
  • Costume fees are exempt from all discounts.

  • Family accounts must be up-to-date in order for dancers to perform in any year-end recital.

Sibling Discounts

  • The first student will submit a regular fee payment.

  • A 10% discount will apply for the same year to a third sibling with a lower fee within the same immediate family and residing in the same household.
  • If one student from the same family withdraws from a class or the school, the remainder of that student’s term fee is not transferable to the other sibling. The family discount will no longer apply or will be downgraded from 10% to 5% in the case of a family of 3 or more dancers.

  • All students wishing to try a class must have a trial class slip from the PSB & INTERPLAY office or they will not be permitted to dance.
  • Concluding the trial class, the student must then be registered and on the teacher’s class list before they are able to continue in subsequent weeks.

  • A “Registration Amendments” sheet must be filled out by the parent/guardian when a change of class has occurred.
  • All students enrolled in the school who wish to change classes must see our PSB & INTERPLAY office staff to get a change-of-class slip prior to entering the new class. • All students are recommended to take Gym Skills/Acro/Conditioning classes complimenting their other dance classes.

General Guidelines

  • Street shoes are not permitted on the premises, in studios, waiting rooms or office areas. Please use the shoeracks provided. This is to protect our dancer’s feet and the studio floors from debris and glass that you pick up elsewhere.
  • Please bring indoor sandals/slippers/socks to walk around the studio.
  • We ask that all shoes be placed on the shoe racks provided. Shoes left in front of the door are dangerous when entering the building, especially for our younger students and are against fire regulations.
  • Do not chew gum on the premises. Please discard prior to entry. We are continuing to find gum on our studio floors.
  • All valuables are to be left at home. PSB & INTERPLAY Dance Academy is not responsible for theft or loss of items.
  • Parents/Guardians of students aged 7 and under are welcome to wait in common areas only. All students aged 8 and above should enter without a parent or guardian so we stay within building capacity limits. Thank you for understanding & co-operating.
  • Students are asked not to eat or drink in the change rooms as this attracts pests.
  • Students and parents are asked to keep the noise level to a minimum so as not to disturb classes.
  • We ask that parents keep siblings from running around the studio and climbing and swinging on school furniture. If staff observe siblings continuously running around, they will be asked to leave the premises. Please watch your children.
  • We ask that parents clean up after their children to try to keep our studio as neat and clean as possible.
  • Students are asked to clean up their area in the change rooms and remove their clothing and water bottles from the studios between visits.
  • Students are to take their phones, turned off, into class with them. Phones may only be used during break times.
  • Parents may call the office staff to relay messages to students as they will not be permitted their phones during classes.
  • Younger students must have a designated parent chaperoning them during their breaks between classes.
  • Food and drinks, except water, are not permitted in our studios at any time.
  • No men are allowed to enter the change rooms. Please ask office staff to assist you if you need to aid your child.
  • For the safety of our students leaving the building, parking is not allowed at the curb. Please use a parking space to meet your child after their class.
  • Personal photography and/or video of any kind is not permitted within PSB & INTERPLAY Dance Academy.
  • All students are to arrive at the studio 15 minutes prior to their specified class time and wait outside the studio door 2 minutes prior to class. Students who are 10 minutes late will not be able to participate in class. They will be able to observe only. Please do not socialize in the studio and make sure that you enter only when a teacher is present.
  • Students are to be picked up no later than 15 minutes after their classes finish time.

These regulations are in place to keep our studio running efficiently throughout the year.

Thank you for your consideration and co-operation.
